Bert Moyar, the Chairman of MEI Hotels Incorporated and MEI Development Company, has enjoyed a varied and distinguished career as a lawyer, executive, hotelier and financier. Since 1981, he has been involved in real estate development and began focusing on the hospitality industry when he formed Concord Hotels Incorporated in 1985. He later founded Moyar Enterprises Incorporated in 1995 and the MEI companies, with David Moyar, in 1996. He is on the Board of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and is a past president of the Greater Cleveland Council of the Boy Scouts of America and former Chairman of International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), an international aid organization.

David Moyar was the driving force behind the development and construction of the companies’ three Hilton Garden Inns and its Homewood Suites by Hilton. He is also the creative force behind MEI Development’s design services. David graduated magna cum laude from Yale College with a dual degree in English and Philosophy and holds a J.D. from the Yale Law School. He is admitted to the bars of New York and Connecticut and served a clerkship with the Honorable John Koeltl in the Southern District of New York prior to commencing his career in hospitality. He also has experience in designing structured finance products and has earned the Certificate in Quantitative Finance from Paul Wilmott’s CQF program.
